The short version: Statue is a fitness tool, not a doctor. Its scores, composition figures and projection images are AI estimates from a photograph, not measurements and not promises. Use it as guidance, get medical advice from a medical professional, and don't upload photos of anyone but yourself.
Accepting these terms
By downloading or using Statue you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app. They're between you and PLAYRIOT LLC; Apple is not a party to them, though Apple may enforce them as a third-party beneficiary.
Who can use Statue
Statue is intended for people aged 16 and over. You confirm you're at least 16 when you use it. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.
Not medical advice
This is the important one. Statue is a fitness and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan.
- Your score, region breakdown and body-composition estimate are AI-generated estimates from a photograph. They are not clinical measurements and will not match a DEXA scan, a caliper reading or any laboratory result.
- Training, nutrition, step and sleep recommendations are general fitness guidance based on published research. They are not personalised medical prescriptions and cannot account for your medical history.
- Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a diet or training programme — particularly if you're pregnant, have a heart condition, an injury, a metabolic or endocrine condition, or any history of disordered eating.
- If something hurts, stop. If you're unwell, see a doctor rather than an app.
About the projection images
Statue Pro can generate an illustration of a possible physique after twelve weeks of consistent effort. You need to understand what that image is:
- It is an AI-generated illustration, labeled as such in the app, and it is not a photograph of anything real.
- It is not a guarantee, prediction or promise of any result. Real outcomes depend on your genetics, your health, your consistency and many things no app can see.
- Do not present a projection image as a real photograph of yourself to anyone — including in advertising, on social media, or to sell anything.
Your photos and your responsibility
- Only scan yourself. Do not upload photographs of another person, whether or not you have their permission.
- Do not upload images of minors, sexual content, or anything unlawful.
- You keep ownership of your photos. You grant us only the narrow, temporary permission needed to process an image in order to return your score or projection — see the privacy policy for exactly what happens to it and how briefly.
- Your scan history lives on your device. Deleting the app, or using Delete all my scans, removes it. Keep your own backups if it matters to you; we hold no copy to restore from.
Subscriptions and payment
- Statue Pro is offered as a weekly subscription at $4.99 with a 3-day free trial, or a yearly subscription at $39.99. Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region and over time.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. All billing is handled by Apple — we never see your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Manage or cancel at any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If you cancel a free trial before it ends, you aren't charged; any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app; don't try to break, overload or probe our servers; don't automate or script scans; don't resell or redistribute the app or its output; and don't use Statue to build a competing service.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of Statue, including features and prices, at any time. Analysis depends on network access and third-party AI providers, so it may occasionally be unavailable or slow. We'll give reasonable notice of a price change and it will never apply to a period you've already paid for.
Disclaimer of warranties
Statue is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that scores, estimates or projections are accurate, complete or suitable for any particular purpose, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PLAYRIOT LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of Statue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Termination
You may stop using Statue and delete it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are broken. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — disclaimers, limitation of liability, and the medical disclaimer above — do survive it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where local consumer law grants you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version appears here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Statue after that date means you accept the change.
